Harrowsmith is a village in South Frontenac, in the county of Frontenac.

It is known as the gateway to the Canadian Shield. The trailhead just south of the village is located on both the K&P and Cataraqui trails.

The first sawmill in the region was opened in Harrowsmith in 1826, and the village became a centre for wood based production, including mills, tanneries, barrel and carriage factories that thrived until the latter part of the 19th Century.

Harrowsmith - Take-Out Turkey Dinner

4pm. Golden Links Hall, 4186 Colebrook Rd. Advance tickets only with a cutoff date of Wednesday, April 17.  Cost is $20.00.  Tickets available at the gas stations in Sydenham, Harrowsmith and Harrington, as well as Asselstine Hardware in Verona.  Pick up time between 4 and 530pm.  For information, call 613-372-2410.
