Harrowsmith is a village in South Frontenac, in the county of Frontenac.

It is known as the gateway to the Canadian Shield. The trailhead just south of the village is located on both the K&P and Cataraqui trails.

The first sawmill in the region was opened in Harrowsmith in 1826, and the village became a centre for wood based production, including mills, tanneries, barrel and carriage factories that thrived until the latter part of the 19th Century.

Harrowsmith - Sydenham Women's Craft & Bake Sale

9am. Golden Links Hall, 4186 Colebrook Rd. See what local vendors and bakers have to offer. Lunch - homemade soup and bun or sandwich. Preorder Apple, Cherry, Pumpkin, Blueberry & Mincemeat pies and tarts. These will be baked on October 25th and ready for pick-up at the sale. The 9" pies are $15 each, and a tray of 6 tarts is $10

12pm. Harrowsmith Social & Athletic Club, 4041 Colebrook Rd. Dress up in your favorite costume and join in the fun playing games, decorating cupcakes and showing off your special costume.  Free hot dogs and treats for those youngsters who dress up.  Everyone is welcome.
