Harrowsmith is a village in South Frontenac, in the county of Frontenac.

It is known as the gateway to the Canadian Shield. The trailhead just south of the village is located on both the K&P and Cataraqui trails.

The first sawmill in the region was opened in Harrowsmith in 1826, and the village became a centre for wood based production, including mills, tanneries, barrel and carriage factories that thrived until the latter part of the 19th Century.

10am-3pm. Harrowsmith Free Methodist Church, 3876 Harrowsmith Rd. Featuring There will be forty vendors and a BBQ lunch.

Harrowsmith - Summer Kickoff Live Music Festival

2pm. Centennial Park, 4500 Centennial Park Rd. Donations will be greatly accepted at the gate to support next year’s festival.
